A Most Wanted Man

Spy film based on the novel by John Le Carré: Günther Bachmann is the head of an off-the-record special unit in Hamburg that detects terrorist activities and heckles suspects. One day he and his team track down the Chechen Karpov who had been tortured in Russian arrest and then illegally entered Germany. Karpov addresses a private bank in Hamburg and raises a claim to a bank account with the illegal earnings of his late father. Bachmann wants to use Karpov as a decoy for a much more important wirepuller in the background, but his superiors and the Hamburg based CIA agents have other plans with him.
