Am 46. Taipeh International Film Festival (06.-28.11.09) nehmen insgesamt 13 deutsche Filme und Koproduktionen teil. Eine Retrospektive ist dem Thema 20 Jahre nach dem Mauerfall gewidmet.
In der Sektion Master Class kommen "35 Shots of Rum" von Claire Denis (FR/DE), "Tears of April" von Aku Louhimies (FI/DE/GR) und "The Dust of Time" von Theodoros Angelopoulos (GR/IT/DE/FR/RU) zur Aufführung.
After the Fall - A Retrospective about 20 Years of German Unification präsentiert "Ein Traum in Erdbeerfolie" von Marco Wilms, "Der Irrationale Rest" von Thorsten Trimpop, "Jeder schweigt von etwas anderem" von Marc Bauder und Dörte Franke, "Mein Bruder - We"ll Meet Again" von Thomas Heise und "Nikolaikirche" von Frank Beyer.
Spotlight zeigt "Phantomschmerz" von Matthias Emcke sowie die dänisch-deutsche Koproduktion "Flame & Citron" von Ole Christian Madsen.
"Eyes Wide Open" von Haim Tabakman (IL/DE/FR) ist in der Sektion Film Cult(ure) - L.G.B.T. zu sehen. Film Cult(ure) - I am Legend präsentiert "Double Take" von Johan Grimonprez (BE/NL/DE).
Als Closing Film wird "Das Weisse Band" von Michael Haneke (DE/AT/FR/IT) gezeigt.
