Biography

Sigrid Hoerner, née in Cologne, studied film, drama and media management in Berlin. While attending university, she began organizing the "Made in Berlin" festival, a showcase for film, art and design from the city. In addition to this, she worked as tour manager for several bands.

Hoerner gathered her first filmmaking experiences by working as a production manager and line producer on numerous shorts, feature films, commercials and music videos. In 1998, she co-founded the production company Moneypenny together with Martin Walz and Anne Leppin. Among the company's productions are Martin Eigler's thriller "Freunde", starring Benno Fürmann and Christiane Paul, Eoin Moore's "Pigs Will Fly" (2002) and "Im Schwitzkasten" (2005), Hannes Stöhr's "One Day in Europe" (2005) and Marvin Kren's award-winning horror film "Rammbock" (2010). In 2011, Hoerner won the "Producer's Award" at the Cologne Conference.

She made her feature film debut as director with the comedy "Miss Sixty" (2014), starring Iris Berben and Edgar Selge.
