Biography

Momina "Momo" Beier was born on July 8, 2006. She is the daughter of theatre director and artistic director Karin Beier and actor Michael Wittenborn. She initially grew up in Cologne, later moving to Hamburg, where her mother became artistic director of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus for the 2013/14 season - one of Germany’s most prestigious repertory theatres.

Thanks to her parents' professions, Momo Beier was exposed to the worlds of theatre, film, and acting from an early age. Her own career began in 2017 with substantial roles in the television drama "Ich war eine glückliche Frau," in which she played the protagonist's daughter, and in the family fantasy film "Die kleine Hexe" ("The Little Witch"), where she appeared as an innkeeper's daughter.

In the TV crime film "Danowski – Blutapfel" (2019), Beier played the daughter of the title character, a police commissioner portrayed by Milan Peschel. In "Vatersland" (2020), an autobiographical feature by Petra Seeger, she portrayed the main character in her younger years. This marked Beier's first leading role and earned her considerable critical praise. She followed this with another cinema lead in 2022 in the children's film "Die Chaosschwestern und Pinguin Paul" ("The Chaos Sisters Feat. Penguin Paul") which was released theatrically in 2024.

With prominent roles as the 'woke' daughter of the title character in Simon Verhoeven's social satire "Alter weißer Mann" ("Old White Man," 2024), and as the daughter of Bastian Pastewka in the eight-part comedy series "Perfekt Verpasst" ("The Perfect Miss," 2024), Beier successfully made the transition from child actress to teenage roles. In the youth mystery film "Die drei ??? – Toteninsel" ("The Three Investigators: Isle of Death"), she likewise played a teenager—the concert violinist Jelena.

After a brief appearance as an acting student in Verhoeven's "Ach, diese Lücke, diese entsetzliche Lücke" ("Oh, This Void, This Dreadful Void," 2026), Momo Beier once again played a daughter role in David Dietl's comedy "Ein Münchner im Himmel – Der Tod ist erst der Anfang," this time as the daughter of the titular Munich taxi driver portrayed by Maximilian Brückner.
