Summary

Munich taxi driver Ludwig "Wiggerl" Brunner unexpectedly ends up in heaven after an accident - only to quickly realize that his life is not quite over yet. His karma balance is far from settled, and the celestial order decides he must return to Earth to make amends for his mistakes. Back in the world of the living, Wiggerl is invisible to everyone - with one crucial exception: his daughter Toni can see and hear him. At first, there is a distance between them, as Wiggerl hardly took care of her or her mother while he was alive. To make use of his second chance, he depends on Toni's help, but she initially rejects him. As Wiggerl clumsily and often unsuccessfully tries to repair his past mistakes, he finds himself under increasing time pressure. Gradually, father and daughter develop a reluctant partnership, forcing old conflicts and unresolved questions back to the surface. Together, they attempt to balance Wiggerl's karmic account before his time finally runs out.
