Sequel to "Der Medicus" ("The Physician"): In the 11th century, Rob Cole returns to his English homeland after fleeing Persia. In London, he hopes to apply the knowledge he gained abroad but faces suspicion, prejudice, and resistance from the medical and social elite. Only when the king asks him to treat his mentally ill daughter does a new field open up for Rob: the healing of the soul. As he delves deeper into the human psyche, he also becomes entangled in the power games of the royal court. Caught between political intrigue, medical challenges, and the quest for recognition, Rob must prove himself once again.
