Biography

Franziska Wulf was born in 1984 in Schwedt/Oder (then GDR). From 2006 to 2009 she studied acting at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. Her first appearance on the big screen was in a key role: in Sven Taddicken's "12 Meter ohne Kopf" ("12 Paces Without a Head", 2009) she played the wife of the legendary pirate Klaus Störtebeker. She then had leading roles in Marc Rothemund's teenager comedy "Groupies bleiben nicht zum Frühstück" ("Single by Contract", 2010) and Marc Bauders thriller "Das System - Alles verstehen heißt alles verzeihen" ("The System", 2011). She also appeared in a few guest roles in TV series. From 2010 to 2013 Wulf was an ensemble member of the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich, where she appeared on stage in Peter Handke's "Publikumsbeschimpfung" (2010), Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (2012) and in the title role of Lessing's "Miss Sara Sampson" (2013), among others. She also worked at the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee in Zurich (2015) and the HAU - Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin (2016).

In cinema, David Wnendt cast Wulf as Adolf Hitler's secretary in his dark satire "Er ist wieder da" ("Look Who's Back", 2015). In the gangster film "Nur Gott kann mich richten" ("Only God Can Judge Me", 2017) she had a leading role as the pregnant girlfriend of Edin Hasanović's main character. She was also the girlfriend of the main character (Bülent Ceylan) in the comedy "Verpiss dich, Schneewittchen" (2018).

Mainly, Wulf took part in television productions. Among others, she played a fanatical anti-abortionist in "Der Usedom-Krimi: Engelmacher" (2016), a romantic veterinarian in "Inga Lindström - Das Haus am See" (2017) and the noblewoman Diane von Hirsch in the film biography "Ottilie von Faber-Castell - Eine mutige Frau" (2019). In the crime series "Der Bulle und das Biest" (2019) she had a leading role as a detective inspector alongside Jens Atzorn. In the TV movie "Das Leben ist kein Kindergarten" (2020) she appeared in a leading role as an ambitious educator. From 2021, Wulf took on a leading role as Dupin's resourceful secretary Nolwenn (formerly played by Annika Blendl) in the crime series "Kommissar Dupin".

Also in 2021, Wulf was in front of the camera for the feature film "Lucy ist jetzt Gangster", in which she plays the mother of the young title character.
