Protected Men

Adaptation of Robert Merle’s novel of the same name. Germany, in the near future: Shortly before the federal election, a deadly virus emerges—one that exclusively targets men. Those infected fall into a frenzy of sexual aggression, assault women, and ultimately die in a state of intense ecstasy. The virus spreads with terrifying speed, triggering a renewed battle of the sexes. When the chancellor succumbs to the virus, a feminist-ecological women’s party, led by Anita and Sarah, swiftly takes over the government. Meanwhile, Anita’s husband is tasked with developing a vaccine against the virus. However, not all members of the new women-led government are keen on saving the male population.
