The Invention of Love
Emily, an aspiring but unsuccessful actress sets up her boyfriend with a wealthy but terminally ill woman to get their hands on her inheritance.
The story behind the production is tragic. The young actress playing Emily, Maria Kwiatkowsky, one of Germany’s most promising young actresses and winner of the Golden Camera Award died suddenly during shooting. The production closed down, but Randl managed to finish the film in 2012 using footage from the first shoot with newly shot scenes, making a new film out of what had originally been planned.
