Young Ole is content with his quiet life in the rural North-East of Germany, idly spending his days with his friends or racing with his motorbike. Alas, Ole's grandfather Karl doesn't approve this laid-back lifestyle. Unbeknownst to Ole, he gets his grandson an internship in Berlin, hoping that the big city will teach the boy some important life lessons. To help him to get on his feet in the new surroundings, Karl wants Ole to move in with his cousin Rokko. At first, Ole doesn't fit in at all, and Berlin is as strange to him as is his cousin. But then Ole makes the acquaintance of Fritzi, and the feisty Berlin girl turns around the life of the country boy.
