Summary
Mrs. Winkler is 80 years old, seriously ill, and living alone, as her daughter Emi has little time to care for her. When Emi accepts a theatre engagement and can no longer look after her mother, there is not enough money for a nursing home or in-home care. Instead, a care robot named Pawlowitsch is purchased. At first, Mrs. Winkler is skeptical of the robot, but gradually an unusual friendship develops. Pawlowitsch helps her with everyday tasks, keeps her company, and rekindles her interest in life through his knowledge of classical theatre.
