Träume sind wie wilde Tiger

Deutschland 2020/2021 Spielfilm

Dreams Are Like Wild Tigers

Twelve-year-old Ranji lives in Mumbai and has a dream: when he grows up, he wants to make a career as a Bollywood star, just like his idol Amir Roshan. But when he has to move from India to Germany with his parents because his father is taking up a new job there, this goal seems a long way off. Berlin and Bollywood are worlds apart. But Ranji does not give up: When he hears about a big casting for Roshan's latest film, he senses his chance. With a self-made application video, he wants to qualify for the next round in Mumbai. However, according to the specifications, he needs a partner for this. He finally finds an unexpected ally in Toni, a neighbor's daughter of the same age. Between school stress and trouble with mean bullies, the two try to complete the video shoot - and then hopefully also travel to Mumbai.
