Biography

Laura Berlin, born in Berlin in 1990, was discovered by a modeling agency at the age of 15 and began walking in fashion shows of international brands (including Boss, Balenciaga, Michalsky) in Paris and Milan while still in high school. Soon she also took on work as a photo model, and at the age of seventeen appeared on the cover of the Italian edition of the women's magazine Elle. In parallel, she gained her first acting experience in school theater and through private coaching. After graduating from school in 2009, Berlin began working full-time as a model.

Also in 2009, she landed the title role in the TV fairy tale film "Schneewitchen" ("Snow White"), alongside Sonja Kirchberger and Jaecki Schwarz. This opened up a second career path for Berlin. In the next few years she took on supporting roles in television dramas such as "Tod einer Schülerin" and episode lead roles in series such as "SOKO Stuttgart" (2010) and "SOKO Leipizig" (2012, 2014). In Josh Broecker's shrill comedy "Meine allerschlimmste Freundin" (2014, TV), she played the lead role of a woman whose best friend is a talking plush doll.

On the big screen, Berlin appeared in the fantasy novel adaptations "Rubinrot" (2013), "Saphirblau" (2014) and "Smaragdgrün" (2016) in the leading role of Charlotte Montrose. She made smaller appearances in the comedies "Bullyparade - Der Film" (2017) and "Ronny & Klaid" (2018, as a nun). Berlin played her first leading feature film role in the children's film "Immenhof - Das Abenteuer eines Sommers", which opened in January 2019, as the eldest of the three sisters. That same year, she took on the lead role of a young cook in the Inga Lindström adaptation "Auf der Suche nach dir".

Overall Berlin mainly appeared primarily in TV series: in "Einstein" (2017-2019) she had a recurring role as a BKA employee and spy, in "Notruf Hafenkante" from 2018 to 2021 a regular lead role as an assistant doctor; in the six-part business thriller "Breaking Even" (2020) she gave the dogged chief developer of a family corporation.

Starting in early 2022, Berlin also played a lead role in the streaming series "Vikings: Valhalla" as historical figure Emma of Normandy. In May of the same year, the feature film "Immenhof - Das große Versprechen" (2022) was released, again with Berlin in the role of Charly. Also in 2022, she had a leading role in the German-French feature film "Die Farbe des Windes", as a wind power engineer who gets caught in the middle of a controversial project in the French countryside and falls in love with a young man.
