Biography

Ladina von Frisching was born in 1994 in Lucerne, Switzerland. Before embarking on an acting career, she was a successful elite athlete in competitive golf: until the age of 20, she attended a specialized sports school and competed in international tournaments. A spontaneous decision ultimately led her to change paths - she auditioned at an acting school in Zurich and, in the process, she discovered a deep passion for the profession.

From 2015 to 2018, von Frisching studied at the European Film Actor School (EFAS) in Zurich. She gained her first on-camera experience in numerous short films, including the multi-award-winning short "Ayaneh" (Switzerland, 2018).

Von Frisching attracted wider attention with a major supporting role in Timm Kröger's acclaimed mystery drama "Die Theorie von allem" ("The Theory of Everything," DE AT CH 2023), in which she plays a young woman who made a terrifying discovery in the Alps as a child. Her first leading role came with "Ungeduld des Herzens" ("Impatience of the Heart," 2024), an adaptation of Stefan Zweig's novel, where she portrays the paraplegic daughter of a wealthy construction magnate who enters into a consequential relationship with a young soldier in the German armed forces (Bundeswehr).

For her performance in "Ungeduld des Herzens," von Frisching received the award for Best Emerging Actor at both the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival and Filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 2025, shared with her co-star Giulio Brizzi. She was also honored with the Götz George Young Talent Award at the First Steps Awards, one of Germany’s most prestigious prizes for emerging filmmakers and performers.
