Giulio Brizzi was born on October 12, 1998, in Herrenberg, Germany, and grew up in Rome, Italy. From 2018 to 2021, he studied acting at Plymouth University in England. While still a student, he was cast in a prominent supporting role as the brother of one of the main characters in the Italian Netflix series "Curon" (2020), a mystery drama set in northern Italy and stylistically comparable to the German series "Dark," which gained international acclaim.
Brizzi went on to appear in a range of films and television productions. Among his notable supporting roles was that of a race car driver in the Italian theatrical feature "Race for Glory – Audi vs. Lancia" (2024), where he acted alongside Volker Bruch and internationally renowned actor Daniel Brühl. In the same year, he played a leading role in the Italian Netflix drama series "Adorazione" ("Adoration," 2024).
Brizzi made his first leading appearance in a feature film with "Ungeduld des Herzens" ("Impatience of the Heart," 2024), an adaptation of the novel by the Austrian writer Stefan Zweig. The film tells the story of a young soldier in the German armed forces (Bundeswehr) who becomes involved - out of compassion rather than love - with the paraplegic daughter of a wealthy construction entrepreneur. For his performance, Brizzi received the award for Best Emerging Actor at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival and at Filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 2025, shared with co-star Ladina von Frisching. At the Neiße Film Festival 2025, he was additionally honored with the Acting Award.
In 2025, Brizzi also appeared in "About Us," directed by Oona von Maydell (release date forthcoming), a drama centered on the painful process of self-discovery of a young woman, portrayed by Anna Bardavelidze.
