Biography

Greta Bohacek, born on May 23, 2000, came to acting at a young age: in 2009 she starred in Daniel Acht's award-winning short film "Carlotte und die Wolke". Not least through this part, she received minor supporting roles in Andres Veiel's "Wer wenn nicht wir" ("If Not Us, Who?", 2011, as the young Ruth Ensslin), and in Leander Haußmann's "Hotel Lux" (2011).

In the series "About Kate" (2013), about the thoughts and feelings of a woman in her late twenties, she played the title character at a young age in flashbacks. Bohacek's first starring role in a feature-length film was in the TV drama "Keine Zeit für Träume" (DE/AT 2013), as a girl with Attention Deficit Disorder.

She played supporting role, inter alia, in the much-praised student bullying drama "Neufeld, mitkommen!" (2014, TV) and in the youth film "Winnetous Sohn" ("Winnetou's Son", 2015). She had a bigger part in the multi-award winning psycho thriller "Freddy/Eddy" (2016), as the daughter of the female lead character (Jessica Schwarz).

In addition, she took on series guest roles in "Charité" (2016) and "Großstadtrevier" (2017). Director Luca Guadagnino cast her in his critically-acclaimed horror film "Suspiria" (IT/US 2018) in a smaller role as the protagonist at a young age. Greta Bohacek played a leading role in Nikias Chryssos' drama "A Pure Place", about two siblings who grow up in a sect on an island and because of this situation developed a particularly close relationship with each other.
