Biography

Anton Spieker was born in Berlin on March 7 1989. After attending the Europäische Theaterinstitut in Berlin from 2008-2009, he studied acting at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin. Graduating in 2013, he then guest-starred on several TV series before making his feature film debut as the male lead in Christian Frosch's "Von jetzt an kein Zurück" ("Rough Road Ahead", 2014). In the film, which premiered at the 2014 Filmfest Oldenburg and was released theatrically in March 2015, Spieker plays a struggling ex-convict who eventually meets the lost love of his youth.

He had a leading role in the made-for-TV film "Hans im Glück" (2016). On stage, Spieker performed in the production of "Lilly oder Die Prinzessin auf der Erbse" (2014/15) at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam, and in the production of "Minna von Barnhelm" at the Schloßparktheater Berlin.

Spieker played a murderer in the "Polizeiruf 110" episode "Muttertag" (2017), and the friend of a drug-addict in the acclaimed TV drama "So auf Erden" (2017). Moreover, he continued to guest-star on numerous TV shows. Director Hans Weingartner cast Anton Spieker as one of the leads in his road movie "303" (2018). His performance as a college student who embarks on an eventful trip through Southern Europe with a female co-ed, garnered him the newcomer award at the 2018 Filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
