Biography

Maria Ehrich, born on the 26th February 1993 in Erfurt, gave her film debut when she was ten years old in the Television production "Eine Mutter für Anna" in 2004. A year later, she was nominated for the Undine Award as best Film debutant for her role in Peter Timm's movie "Mein Bruder ist ein Hund" ("My Brother is a Dog"). In the following years, Ehrich appeared in various Television productions, such as "Danni Lowinski" or "Das Adlon. Eine Familiensaga". In 2008, she received the Thüringer Filmpreis for her role as Silvia Bender in "Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie".

In Felix Fuchssteiner's movie adaption of the bestselling trilogy "Liebe geht durch alle Zeiten" ("Love Through the Ages") written by Kerstin Gier, Ehrich portrays the main character Gwendolyn Shepherd, a young girl who has to accept her ability to travel through time. The first part, "Rubinrot" ("Ruby Red") was released in March 2013. The sequel "Saphirblau" ("Sapphire Blue") was released in summer 2014. In between, Ehrich was one of the leads in the made-for-TV drama "Götz von Berlichingen" and played a supporting role in the fairy tale adaptation "Die kleine Meerjungfrau" (2013).
