An impecunious composer of popular music wants to win over the famous dancer Marina as the star of his new revue. He is able to put his plan into effect after he gets mixed up with the sovereign of a small kingdom. He takes on the role of the sovereign and signs Marina for the revue that turns out to be a big success. Furthermore, the dancer and the alleged sovereign grow closer to each other. But then, the real sovereign re-emerges and ends the foul play. But this does not change Marina’s feelings for the composer who finally becomes famous on his own because of the whole incident.
