Tonio Kröger
Adaptation of Thomas Mann′s autobiographical novel about a writer from a Lübeck-based patrician family. Looking for inspiration, Tonio Kröger travels through Europe; he stays in Florence where he had lived as a small boy with his Italian mother, and in Munich where he meets his old love, Lisaweta. He finally returns to Lübeck but soon flees to Denmark where he settles in the seaside resort of Aalsgard and dreams of Lisaweta. More and more, Tonio suffers from the conflict between art, intellectuality, and his everyday, human experience.
