Tilda juggles her studies, a job at the supermarket checkout, swimming, and the responsibility of caring for her little sister, Ida, and her mother, who struggles with alcoholism. In the small town where she lives, she feels stuck, while her friends have long since moved on to bigger cities like Berlin or Amsterdam. Then suddenly, she's offered a chance to pursue a PhD in Berlin - an opportunity not just for her career, but for a fresh start. At the same time, she meets Viktor, the brother of her boyfriend Ivan, who died five years ago. More than just sharing the ritual of swimming exactly 22 laps, they find an unexpected connection. Just as Tilda begins to believe in the possibility of a different future, life at home starts spiraling further out of control.
