Waitress Motte's quiet life is turned upside down when she involuntarily gets pregnant by her best friend Neo. Motte doesn't want a child, and Neo, who is busy figuring out his own sexual identity, also doesn't feel fit to be a father. Thus Motte is determined to give the child away after birth, until a fateful encounter with midwife Rosa makes her rethink her whole future.

Rosa herself lives in a seemingly blissful relationship with therapist Marcel. But eventually, the perfect couple is confronted with a blow of fate.

Same goes for cleaning worker Layla, who was dumped by her lover Navid for a younger woman. She is willing to do everything necessary  in order to win him back. As would Marcel in order to stay together with Rosa…

Things inevitably escalate: In the end, there is a shot, a body and a new born baby. And the world keeps on turning.
