Biography

Helen Woigk was born in Berlin in 1991. She started to take acting lessons at the age of 15, and in 2009, she made her film debut in a small role in Tomasz Emil Rudzik's film school production "Desperados on the Block" (2009). The same year, she also appeared in Julie Delpy's French-German co-production "Die Gräfin" ("The Countess") and in the made-for-TV film "Ich steig’ Dir aufs Dach, Liebling". Following a supporting role in Martin Enlen's drama "Das Geheimnis in Siebenbürgen" (2010), she was cast as one of the leads in André Erkau's "Das Leben ist nichts für Feiglinge" ("Life Is Not For Cowards"). In the film, Woigk plays a teenager who runs away from home with a classmate following the death of her mother.

After a string of guest-starring roles in several TV series, she played a waitress faced with an unwanted pregnancy in Alexandre Powelz' drama "Ohne Dich" ("Without You", 2014).
