Biography

Valerie Stoll, born in Berlin in 1999, gained stage experience at the Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam and the t-Werk Potsdam in 2016. She had her her first major screen role in 2017 in the TV film "Wo kein Schatten fällt" (broadcast in 2018), as a 14-year-old schoolgirl who returns to her home village from a boarding school and has to realize that she is unwanted there. For this role, she was nominated for Best Newcomer Actress at the Studio Hamburg Newcomer Award 2019 and received the New Star Award at the German Film Ball 2020.    

In Sherry Hormann's TV tragicomedy "Wir lieben das Leben" (2018), she was part of a group of students with massive concentration problems who rehearse a song by Vicky Leandros for a school performance. Stoll played an important role in Philipp Kadelbach's miniseries "Parfum" (2018): she embodied the main character of Elena at a young age, a lonely girl at the mercy of the violent excesses of a youth clique.    

She made further television appearances in guest roles in the series "SOKO Hamburg" (2019), "Helen Dorn" (2020), "Notruf Hafenkante" (2020) and "SOKO Leipzig" (2021), among others. In the TV movie "Ein Tisch in der Provence - Zwei Ärzte im Aufbruch" (2021), she played a high school graduate suffering from depression. At the end of 2021, she appeared in Julia von Heinz's miniseries "Eldorado KaDeWe - Jetzt ist unsere Zeit" in the leading role of a young KaDeWe saleswoman.

On the big screen, Valerie Stoll had a supporting role in the award-winning drama "Albträumer" ("Dark Dreamers", 2020), followed by a leading role in the thriller "Trübe Wolken" ("Cloudy Clouds", 2020), as a schoolgirl who becomes increasingly fascinated by a mysterious classmate. After its premiere at the 2021 Munich Film Festival, the film was released in theaters in early 2022.
