Biography

Tom Jahn made his movie debut at the age of 16 in the family drama "Als Unku Edes Freundin war". After finishing school, Jahn studied play acting at Leipzig"s theatre college "Hans Otto" and mainly performed on stage at the beginning of his career. Jahn was a cast member of both improv theatre groups "Die Gorillas" and "Theatersport Berlin" and is a lecturer at the European theatre institute in Berlin since 1998.

Tom Jahn is mainly seen in significant minor and ensemble roles of ambitious TV and movie productions such as Hannes Stöhr"s "Berlin is in Germany", Bülent Akinci"s "Der Lebensversicherer" ("Running on Empty"), or Hans-Christian Schmids "Lichter" ("Distant Lights"). But Tom Jahn is also a strong leading actor as he has proven in "Elbe", the tragicomic story of a friendship that comes to the cinemas in the spring of 2007.
