Biography

Nicholas Reinke was born in 1980. After studying at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich, he became a company player at the Münchner Volkstheater and the Schauspiel Frankfurt. He also performed at the Markgrafentheater in Erlangen, the Landestheater Innsbruck and the Theater Augsburg.

In 2006, he made his screen debut in Hans Christian Schmid's "Requiem". His performance garnered him a nomination as Best Supporting Actor at the Undine Awards. The following year, he played the gay friend of the protagonist in "Weißt was geil wär…?!". He went on to portray the consul Peter Döhlmann in the adaptation of the novel "Buddenbrooks". Reinke also appeared in numerous TV series, including "Alles außer Sex" (2007), "Großstadtrevier" and "Die Rosenheim Cops".

"Drei Stunden", which premiered at the 2012 Hofer Filmtage and was released in summer 2013, saw Nicholas Reinke in his first leading role in a cinema-release film: He plays a dreamy playwright, who almost botches the chance to win over the love of his life.
