Biography

Jeremy Mockridge was born in Bonn on September 4, 1993 to the Canadian actor Bill Mockridge, who lives in Germany (known mainly from the long-running TV series "Lindenstraße") and the Italian cabaret artist and actress Margie Kinsky. His oldest brother Matthew (*1986) was the singer of the boyband Part Six. His older brother Luke (*1989) is an award-winning comedian.

Jeremy Mockridge had his first TV appearances in the "Dirk Bach Show" (2000) and the "Sendung mit der Maus". In 2004, he played a key role as the lively son of the female main character (Sabine Vitua) in the television play "Die Liebe hat das letzte Wort". In 2006, he played a central role in the children's film "Die wilden Hühner" ("Wild Chicks") as Fred, leader of a boys' gang which is waging war on the titular girls' gang. Mockridge also played this role in the film's sequels "Die wilden Hühner und die Liebe" ("Wild Chicks In Love", 2007) and "Die wilden Hühner und das Leben" ("The Wild Chicks and Life", 2009). In the infamous TV drama series "Lindenstraße" he was a regular cast member from 2007 to 2010.

From 2013 to 2017 Mockridge completed an acting course at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin. He also took part in several series and television plays. In the TV fairytale film "Die goldene Gans" ("The Golden Goose", 2013) he played the leading role of "Simpleton" Till; in "Schutzengel" (2016) from the "Rosamunde Pilcher" series he had a leading role as a young man who lives with his mother in a witness protection programme.

In 2017 director Erik Schmitt cast Mockridge in a leading role for his feature film debut "Cleo", as an adventurer who embarks on a treasure hunt in the German capital with a young woman (Marleen Lohse). "Cleo" celebrated its premiere at the Berlinale 2019 in the Generation Kplus section; the theatrical release took place in July 2019.

After graduating in 2017, Mockridge became a permanent ensemble member at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. There he appeared on stage as Biff in "Death of a Salesman" (2017), as Acaste in "The Misanthrope" (2019) and as Schreiber in "Der zerbrochene Krug" (2021), among others.  

In addition, he appeared in small roles in the streaming productions "The Queen's Gambit" (US 2020) and "Munich - The Edge of War" (GB 2021). On the big screen, he was part of the ensemble of Max Linz's anarchic comedy "L'état et moi".
