Biography

Jan Schomburg was born in 1976 in Aachen. After receiving a degree in Visual Communication from the Kassel Art Academy, he studied Directing at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. In 2008, he received a scholarship to attend the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw. A selection of his films includes: the award-wining shorts "Hotelzimmer" (1999), "Turnverein" (2001), "Nie solo sein" ("Never Even", 2004), "Esther" (2005), "Innere Werte" (TV, 2007), his feature debut "Über uns das All" ("Above Us Only Sky", 2011), and "Vergiss mein Ich" ("Lose My Self", 2014).
