Zum Sterben schön

Deutschland 1997 Spielfilm

Summary

Good Enough To Die For

Peter Gillitzer′s only interest is for a local Munich football club. When he inherits an ailing funeral parlour, he soon manages to turn it into a financial success by way of unusual promotional measures like coffin auctions.

But he doesn′t want to become rich at all, he just wants to buy his beloved football club the striker they so urgently need. His business idea - burial as the last big event in a person′s existence - brings him together with people whose lives are changed by winning a coffin: an ordinary office-worker wants to climb the career ladder for his wife′s sake, but almost ruins himself with his amateurish attempt at mobbing. A woman from an upper-class background leaves her family overnight to fulfil her dream of being a psychotherapist; but she becomes the victim of her own advice. And the last working day of a long-serving porter at a brewery sees his colleagues think up a devilish surprise...
