BR Deutschland 1988/1989 Spielfilm

Summary

Seven Minutes

Based on the true story of the lone resistance fighter Georg Elser, who was murdered at the age of 42 on April 9, 1945 in the Dachau concentration camp: All on his own, anti-fascist Georg Elser plans the assassination of Adolf Hitler, hoping to bring the Nazi regime down by killing the tyrant himself. When Hitler is to make a speech in the Bürgerbräukeller in Munich in November 1939, Elser wants to detonate a bomb during the event. Risking his life and attending every detail, he eventually manages to place an explosive device close to the podium. Yet Hitler remains unharmed, and the same night, Elser is arrested during his attempted escape.
