Meines Vaters Pferde. 1. Teil: Lena und Nicoline
Jürgen Godeysen comes home from the Second World War severely wounded, traumatized and depressive. He is sent to a clinic where he has to face a highly dangerous operation. Since the success of the operation also depends on the attitude of the patient, young Nicoline reads to him the diaries of his deceased father Michael to encourage him. First Jürgen′s view is rather negative while Nicoline falls in love with him more and more. But step by step he realises the parallels in the lives of him and his father: Michael also was left with nothing several times, but he never gave up.
