The Trapp Family
Widowed baron von Trapp has more and more difficulties to look after his seven children. A nearby cloister sends him a young novice for assistance. But Maria not only wins the affections of the little rascals but also baron von Trapp′s. Finally Maria decides to marry him and is released by her abbess. During the Salzburg Festival Maria and the children win a singing contest and the Trapp Familiy starts a career as a singing company. But when Austria is annexed by the Nazis, baron von Trapp decides to take his family and leave for America.
German predecessor of the American musical classic "The Sound of Music".
