Girl You Know It's True
In 1988, music producer Frank Farian recruits unknown dancers Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan and turns them into the pop duo Milli Vanilli - with success: their first single, 'Girl You Know It's True', becomes a worldwide hit, followed by several others. In the USA alone, the duo topped the charts three times. In 1990, Milli Vanilli won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist for their second album. What no one suspects at the time is that Rob and Fab never actually sang. They simply moved their lips to the vocals of others, danced and looked good doing it. But it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out. As the public turns on Pilatus and Morvan, the masterminds around Frank Farian are trying to quietly distance themselves from the situation.
