The arrival of young Kathleen Kent causes a stir in the London underworld: Her late father was driven to suicide by Real, who used to run several gambling joints. Now of old age and full of remorse, Real intends to leave his illegally made fortune to Kathleen. Alas, his croupiers want their share and try to get into the tomb where his treasure is hidden. The entrance to the tomb is sealed, and it can only be opened with a secret code. All that try to enter differently, die in varying ways. Before Real can pass the code to Kathleen, she and her legal aide Ferry Westlake are taken hostage.
