Hostess
Sometimes, interpersonal happiness is hard to achieve – or to retain. Jette has to make this experience on her own. The young woman works as a tourist hostess in Berlin. Her boyfriend Johannes, a down-to-earth car mechanic, tells her rather unromantically that it would be reasonable to "legalize" their two-year relationship. Disappointed by his insensibility, Jette turns him down and takes refuge at her brother Robert′s home. Being sensibilized by her own situation, Jette realizes how hard it is for her surrounding to maintain a happy love life: While Robert and his wife are in a marriage crisis, Jette′s colleague Conny, who offers her a temporary place to live, has to deal with the loss of her first love. In order to put her feelings for Johannes to the test, Jette gets involved with her ex-boyfriend Peter. Johannes, however, is the man of her dreams and Jette realizes that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Johannes, on his part, discovers new feelings for Jette when he thinks that he has lost her for good. Eventually, all misunderstandings are sorted out and they try to make a new beginning.
