Biography

Sarah Mahita was born in Filderstadt on October 2, 1997. She gained her first acting experience as a child: from 2005 to 2008 she was a member of the children's and youth theater Junges Ensemble Stuttgart (JES).   

Since 2014, she has been regularly appearing in television productions. From 2014 to 2019, she had a central role as the daughter of the title character in the television series "Dr. Klein". She also had a leading role as the daughter of Janek Rieke's school principal in the series "Die Eifelpraxis" from 2016 to 2019.   

Sarah Mahita made her big screen debut in 2016 in the teenage comedy "Verrückt nach Fixi," in which she played a cool nurse. In Aelrun Goette's drama "Atempause" (TV, 2017), she had an important role as the sister of a junior footballer who falls into a coma. She was also part of the main ensemble of the five-part comedy series "Technically Single" (2018), and had a supporting role in Dennis Gansel's streaming series "Wir sind die Welle" ("We Are the Wave", 2019). She also appeared in guest roles in the crime series "Morden im Norden" (2019) and "SOKO Köln" (2019).   

In the feature film "Bonnie & Bonnie" (2019), she had a leading role alongside Emma Drogunova as a maladjusted and tough teenager. For her portrayal of a grieving sister of a suicide in "Albträumer," she was nominated for the Braunschweig Film Award at the Braunschweig International Film Festival in 2020, along with her co-star Béla Gabor Lenz. The film was released in German cinemas in the summer of 2021.

After that she played a leading role in Marcus H. Rosenmüller's "Beckenrand Sheriff" (release: fall 2021).
