Biography
Patrick Roy Beckert, born on 25 February 1990 in Karlsruhe, discovered his passion for acting at the age of 14 in a school theatre group. After finishing school, however, he did not attend an acting school or film school, but rather acquired his skills as an autodidact. In May 2014 he started a film project with friends for training purposes under the title "Breakdown Forest" to gain experience in film production, direction, editing and acting. The shooting of the action film lasted almost one and a half years and became more and more professional - also because Beckert could win a number of well-known actors for the project with the help of his producer: among others Ralf Richter, Martin Semmelrogge, Claude-Oliver Rudolph and Mathieu Carrière. The shooting ended in autumn 2015, but the post-production also took its time. In June 2019 the film was released in German cinemas under the title "Tal der Skorpione".
