Biography

Isabella Parkinson, born January 2, 1970, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, graduated from drama school in her home town before she went to the United Stated in 1990 where she attended actor"s training at Shakespeare Studio and at the legendary Actor’s Studio. With her husband at the time, the Viennese theatre actor, Thomas Reisinger, Parkinson then went to Vienna and finally moved to Berlin in 1993. In Berlin, she became a cast member of Volksbühne.

From the mid-1990s on, Isabella Parkinson appeared in leading and supporting roles in numerous movie and TV productions, for instance, as a fraudulent housekeeper in the thriller "Die Apothekerin" ("The Pharmacist", 1997), as a reputed wallflower in the ensemble comedy "Das merkwürdige Verhalten geschlechtsreifer Großstädter zur Paarungszeit" ("Love Scenes From Planet Earth", 1998), as a love-impaired call center employee in "Frau2 sucht HappyEnd" ("Female2 seeks HappyEnd", 2001), as charming magician in the romantic fantasy comedy "Verhexte Hochzeit" (2002), or as a romantic opera singer in the love and family story "Meine schöne Nachbarin" (2009).
