Biography

Giulia Goldammer was born on April 30, 1993 in Hagen and grew up in Munich. During her school years, she gained some stage experience in the youth group of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. In 2012, she played the lead role of the musical "Heimatlos - kleiner Lord Remi" there. In 2014, she took up acting studies at the Bern University of the Arts (Switzerland). She received the sponsorship award of the Armin Ziegler Foundation in 2016. In the same year, she made her screen debut with a supporting role in "Die Reise mit Vater" ("That Trip We Took with Dad") by Anca Miruna Lăzărescu, which premiered at the 2016 Munich Film Festival.

After earning her bachelor's degree in Bern, Goldammer completed a master's degree at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich from 2017 to 2021. During this time, she appeared in Hugo von Hofmannsthal's "Elektra" at the Residenztheater in Munich and took on supporting roles in television and feature film productions. Among others, she appeared in the biopic about the eccentric German fashion designer Rudolph Mooshammer, "Der große Rudolph" (2017, TV), and in the family comedy "Ein Sommer auf Mallorca" (2018, TV). In the episode "Die Unterirdischen" from the crime series "München Mord" (2019), she had a key role as a journalist who wants to uncover the machinations of an elite secret club. Rainer Kaufmann cast her in the feature comedy "Und wer nimmt den Hund?" ("Lost in Separation", 2019) as the daughter of Martina Gedeck's and Ulrich Tukur's characters.

Goldammer played her first leading role in a feature film in Nancy Camaldo's debut feature "Windstill" (2020), a drama about two mismatched sisters. The film screened at the Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival in January 2021 (online edition) and opened in German theaters the following November.
