Biography

Bjarne Meisel, born 1998 in Berlin, started acting on stage and on TV as a teenager: He was a member of the youth ensemble of the Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin and from 2011 he had smaller appearances in productions of the children's TV channel KiKA. He played his first important supporting role in the TV fairytale film "Die sechs Schwäne" (2012). He also had other supporting roles in an episode of the crime series "Unter anderen Umständen" ("Das verschwundene Kind", 2015). After graduating from high school in 2016 Meisel took acting lessons at the New Talent acting school.  

After a smaller supporting role in Lars Kraume's award-winning GDR drama "Das schweigende Klassenzimmer" ("The Silent Revolution", 2018), Meisel played a leading role as a good friend of the protagonist in the much praised youth drama "Schwimmen" ("Swimming", 2018). From 2015 Meisel has also been appearing on stage in productions at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.  

In 2019 he had a leading role in the teenage comedy "Get Lucky - Sex verändert alles".
