Biography

Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht, born March 18, 1990, in Munich, as the son of actor Uwe Ochsenknecht made his acting debut already at the age of nine years old when his father helped to place him in a small supporting role in Doris Dörrie"s film "Erleuchtung garantiert" (1999).

Three years later, he made his final breakthrough alongside his brother Jimi Blue in a leading role in the children"s film "Die Wilden Kerle" ("The Wild Soccer Bunch") about a clique of teenage football players. The overwhelming success of this film and its three sequels in 2005, 2006, and in 2007 turned Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht (and likewise his brother) into one of Germany"s most popular teenage idols, first and foremost with female fans.

In 2006, Ochsenknecht went to the USA where he studied for a year at the California Art Academy. After his return, he set up the pop-rock band "Heads on the Rocks" that published its first album with the name "Cookies" in May of 2008. The album reached number 85 in the German album charts while the single "NYC" even rose up to number 29 in the single charts.

In the same year, Ochsenknecht played a supporting role in the youth film "Freche Mädchen" ("Cheeky Girls", 2008), a performance that won him an Undine Award as "Best Young Supporting Actor" and a DIVA Award as "New Talent Of The Year 2008". In 2009, he once more joined his brother Jimi Blue on the movie screen: In the youth drama "Gangs", he plays the leader of a gang of rockers.
