Summary
Young architect Stefan Hellwig is commissioned to design a housing development for miners in Tyrol. To see the construction site for himself, his landlord, Christian Meier, and his family give him a ride to Tyrol. Meier had actually planned to take his family on vacation to Africa, but his daughter Babsi stops him when she falls ill. Stefan falls in love with Dr. Karin Rothe, who is treating Babsi. As their relationship develops, Meier desperately tries to set off for Africa, but a clever ruse and the beautiful Tyrolean landscape convince him to spend his vacation there instead. A relationship crisis between Stefan and Karin is also resolved when Stefan’s client agrees to relocate the construction site to the valley. This allows the Tyrolean farmers to keep their farms, and Stefan and Karin can finally be together.
