Summary

In this film, an orchestra rehearsal turns into absurd theatre. The trumpet is "tuned" by means of a fork, the violin bow is misused in a fencing duel against the conductor′s baton, and in the role of the "timpanist", Karl Valentin is playing four instruments simultaneously. Linguistic dialogues and grotesque sound poetry round off Valentin′s probably most famous film.
