My Life as Lotta
In the film adaptation of the children's book of the same name, everything revolves around eleven-year-old Lotta and her best friend Cheyenne. In addition to Lotta's daily challenges that involve her two annoying brothers, a mother who has recently started working for an ominous Aryuveda guru, and a bad-tempered father, she and Cheyenne also have to deal with their stuck-up classmate Berenike. As much as the two can't stand Berenike, they still want to go to her party, to which everyone else seems to be invited. And then the cool teen star Marlon comes to town to shoot a music video. The casting is actually only for girls over fourteen, but Lotta and Cheyenne wouldn't be the smart girls they are if they were easily deterred by that fact...
