Summary

In four connected episodes, the comedy explores love in all varieties. The ship′s cook Udo Klüterjahn seduces womankind by means of a sailing boat and delicious food. Eventually, however, it is Bettina who is the moving force behind their decision to tie the knot. Her boss Renate Mauerbusch, on the other hand, would like to get married to her neighbor Dr. Biebermann. But beforehand she has to reunite the obtrusive landlord Reitstock with his wife. When Biebermann′s secretary Gabriele sees her hopes dashed, she tries her luck with a lonely hearts ad. The feedback, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Eventually, she herself answers an ad and meets Professor Kallmann whose current studies deal with women′s possibilities to achieve self-fulfillment. The appealing Liane, who works in the company he chose for his research project, appears to be a perfect object of study. Since all men are attracted to her, her colleagues are very jealous and ask the new director of the company union to try and her teach her some decency. Far from being frightened, however, Liane has the feeling that he may just be the man she was looking for.
