Summary
The Soviet Union, 1942: German soldier Herbert fights in the battle of Stalingrad and receives a head wound. 40 years later he returns to his hometown Munich, which he perceives as a new-built Stalingrad. Wherever he goes, the erratic and stubbornly inquisitive Herbert finds Germany's immoral legacy haunting the past and present.
