Tragicomedy about three adult sisters who are confronted with several interpersonal problems and old family conflicts at their mother′s birthday: Anne returns to her home village that she had left long ago – unlike her sisters Iris and Marianne who have stayed home. Whereas Marianne has started her own family, Iris still lives with her mother, in a relationship that constantly shifts between catastrophic arguments and deep affection. Rebellious Anne′s arrival turns the daily routines of the three other women upside down. Anne, for instance, falls in love with her younger sister′s husband and leaves the preparations for the birthday party all to her older sister Iris. Without a doubt, this chaotic initial situation harbours a lot of conflicts – thus, an open confrontation between the sisters becomes inevitable.
