Born in 1987 in Halle (Saale) in Germany, she directed her first theatre play in 2010. Kodura studied media art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and began making her first short and experimental films. She is a graduate of Tradewind Pictures' Talentpool Programme TP2, supported by Mitteldeutsche Medienforderung. Her first full-length documentary "ÖDLAND – Damit keiner das so mitbemerkt" was produced by her own production company DIE ZONE # Film Production which she founded with cinematographer Friede Clausz in 2012.
