Florian Riegel was born in Berlin in 1978. After spending time in Israel and South America, he studied Political Sciences in Berlin. From 2003 to 2009 he studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, where he specialized in documentary filmmaking. His films include: "Fake It Till You Make It" (2005, short), "U(topie) 18" (2007, short, in collaboration with RaumlaborBerlin), "Heaven on Earth" (2007, short), and "Holding Still" (2010, short).
