Ein Lord am Alexanderplatz

Ewald Honig is an old-style marriage impostor – in a gallant and charming way, he has robbed rich ladies all his life. Now, the West German wants to retire and to live with his daughter Ina in East Berlin. Ina takes just after her father and makes a living by robbing older men. Ewald is anything but delighted with his daughter′s "career" and tries to corrupt his daughter′s business by saving the marriages of her victims. At the same time, charming Ewald is lead into temptation to take up his job again by a number of elegant ladies who show their interest in him. To top things off, the Hungarian police officer Johanna and the police psychologist Dr. Engelhardt show up in Berlin. While Johanna is looking for Ewald, Engelhardt wants to track down Ina. But by a series of coincidences, Engelhardt thinks his "colleague" Johanna is the person he is looking for – thus, a turbulent game of mix-ups ensues.
